FOREST TALK & LINK is a dialogue program jointly organized by Hội Gỗ Xây Dựng TP. Hồ Chí Minh (SAWA) and Forest Trends, taking place on the afternoon of 29 January 2025 at 28 Thao Dien, Ho Chi Minh City.
The program is supported and accompanied by the Ho Chi Minh City Green Business Association (HGBA), UK aid, Norway’s International Climate and Forest Initiative (NICFI), the Viện Vật liệu Xây dựng (VIBM), and the Landscape Architecture Creative Art Institute (LAA.I).
FOREST TALK & LINK provides a focused dialogue platform bringing together leaders from the wood sector, research institutes, wood-based enterprises, and architects to discuss wood consumption trends in the context of climate change and the increasing market requirements for deforestation-free supply chains.
Through expert insights and multi-stakeholder discussions, the program aims to shed light on how evolving market dynamics are influencing wood supply chains, material choices in construction, and sector development pathways, as well as the implications for plantation forestry, livelihoods, and sustainable development.
The dialogue also explores design approaches, technical standards, and construction practices as key elements in translating market and policy requirements into practical, on-the-ground solutions.
