SAWA proudly supports Net Zero Coffee #23 in Ho Chi Minh City

Theme: T3 Architects – Bioclimatic Strategies for Tropical Climates

Today, sustainable architecture and environmental responsibility are no longer just trends – they have become essential requirements in the development of cities and the construction industry. Embracing this spirit, Net Zero Coffee #23 continues to provide a space for dialogue, exchange, and inspiration around green architecture and the Net Zero vision.

The Association of Structure Architecture Wood – Ho Chi Minh City (SAWA) is honored to support this event, joining hands to promote advanced architectural solutions while encouraging the responsible use of structural wood in Vietnam’s construction sector.

T3 Architects – A creative journey inspired by heritage and climate

Founded and developed in Southeast Asia more than 15 years ago, T3 Architects has always drawn inspiration from the region’s rich cultural heritage and the challenges of tropical climates. From the very beginning, T3 set a clear mission: to design buildings that live in harmony with nature while contributing positively to the social and cultural identity of each local community.

Over the years, this vision has evolved into a clear design philosophy: “do more with less”. This approach is not merely about cost-cutting or resource saving; it is about prioritizing what is truly essential while making intelligent use of available resources. T3 works closely with artisans, seeks out geo-sourced and bio-sourced materials, and integrates traditional craftsmanship, ensuring that each project is both sustainable and deeply connected to its context.

For T3, sustainability is not only an environmental responsibility. It is about creating meaningful architecture – spaces where people can live in harmony with nature, be nurtured by culture, and find true comfort and well-being in their everyday lives.

Guest speaker – Arch. Rafael Lira

At this edition, participants will have the opportunity to meet and exchange with Arch. Rafael Lira – Country Director of T3 Architects in Vietnam. Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Rafael holds a degree in Architecture & Urban Planning and a Master’s in Construction Management. He gained extensive experience in tropical architecture before moving to Vietnam in 2017 to join T3 Architects.

Passionate about sustainable design and bioclimatic architecture, Rafael combines professionalism with creativity and a positive spirit. Together with T3, his design philosophy is built on four pillars: Harmony – Innovation & Wellness – Know-how – Creativity, forming the foundation for meaningful and sustainable projects in tropical climates.
