On the morning of May 20, Mr. Vo Quang Ha – President of the Association of Structure Wood Architecture – Ho Chi Minh City (SAWA), welcomed and met with Mr. Hank Ma – Director of the Asia Pacific Office of the Missouri Department of Conservation (USA) at SAWA’s office and showroom.
During the visit, Mr. Hank Ma toured the showroom featuring wood products, structural wood materials, and wood applications in architecture and construction. Representatives of SAWA also introduced the association’s development orientation in connecting businesses, promoting sustainable wood materials, and developing the structural wood ecosystem in Vietnam.
The meeting focused on discussing potential cooperation between SAWA and the Missouri Forest Products Association (MFPA https://www.moforest.org/), particularly in promoting wood products for the construction and wood architecture sectors in Vietnam. Both sides discussed opportunities to connect Missouri hardwood suppliers with the Vietnamese market, especially for applications in structural systems, interior and exterior construction, architectural finishing, and other high-quality wood products for the building industry.
